The Red Lions were declared winners of the second edition of the Hockey Pro League. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced it on Friday.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some matches have been cancelled and cannot be played. After Sunday, there will only remain the double confrontation between Australia and New Zealand on June 26 and 27 on the program. Therefore, the ranking leader Red Lions are declared the winners. They will play their last game on Sunday against the Netherlands at 4.30 p.m.
A little earlier (2:00 p.m.), still in Antwerp, the Netherlands, victorious in the women’s tournament, will play their last match against the Red Panthers.

“Belgium for the men and the Netherlands for the women will be crowned champions on Sunday. The winners’ trophies, however, will only be awarded to them after the very last matches in the league, ”said the FIH.
