Vice Chair of Scottish Hockey Justine Westwood has stepped down from the Scottish Hockey Board after completing her term as a director.
Justine will also step down from the People Committee, where she served as Chair since its inception.
Everyone at Scottish Hockey would like to thank Justine for all her work on the board over the years.
Justine Westwood said, “It has been a privilege to serve as a board director, and latterly as Vice Chair of Scottish Hockey over the past four years, during what was initially a very difficult and challenging period as we navigated the challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Since then, as a result of the member engagement project, I am proud to have been involved in improving the leadership, organisational culture, wellbeing and welfare within the organisation, including the governance Reset at board level, and introducing, and chairing, the People Committee.
“With the Build phase of the approach to achieving our vision of being a professional, commercially sustainable, visible, diverse, and world-class governing body well underway, it feels like the right time for me to step down from the board.
“I will continue to be involved in the sport and I wish the board, staff, and members of Scottish Hockey a successful future as the organisation continues to grow and flourish.”
Martin Shepherdson, Chair of Scottish Hockey, added, “It has been a pleasure working with Justine as board member, and Vice-Chair, and I and all of Scottish Hockey owe her a great debt of gratitude for her commitment and input to helping the organisation move forward through that last few years. I wish Justine well and look forward to seeing her beside a pitch in the near future.”
