Poor England actually knew after twelve minutes that they would not play for the gold in two days. Germany was already leading 3-0 at the time. Those goals were scored within five minutes. The rest of the game became a mere formality. At halftime, Germany led 5-0 and added three more in the second half. Verena Neumann, player of Mannheimer HC, was the star of the day with three hits. Germany therefore meets Orange in the final battle, England fights with India for the bronze.

Argentina – United States 2-0

’23 0-1 Juliana Galeano
’51 0-2 Victoria Manuele
A somewhat poor start to the day for Argentina, which was much better than America. The South Americans, who were beaten by Germany in the quarterfinals, came into the circle with their opponents no less than thirty times, but struck only twice. The goals from Juliana Galeano (before half time) and Victoria Manuele (after half time) made it 2-0. As a result, the dethroned champion will battle for fifth place on Tuesday. The US, which received hockey lessons from the Dutch Juniors (9-0) in the group, can still finish seventh.

South Africa – South Korea 0-1

’25 0-1 Choi
Public favorite South Africa had plenty of opportunities, but failed to get the ball between the posts against South Korea. It ensured that Nurmin Choi’s goal gave the Asians the victory. South Africa can therefore play against the US for seventh place. South Korea closes against Argentina. Those teams already faced each other in the group stage. Then Argentina won (2-0).
