The JDH Hockey One League’s standing in the Australian sporting landscape continues to surge with new broadcast records set with one round still to go in the regular season.
Ahead of this weekend’s final round, there has already been an increase on minutes watched and reach compared to the entire 2022 season including finals.
This is the first season the JDH Hockey One League has been LIVE and free through 7plus.
“This is a tremendous result for the league and provides a strong platform to build on in 2024 and beyond,” said JDH Hockey One League Executive Manager Sash Herceg.
“A priority was always having the league available and shown on a free to air platform to make it more accessible and engage a larger audience.”
“To already surpass last season’s figures with one round and finals still to come highlights the appetite of people to watch Australia’s best hockey players on a national stage.
“It also reiterates the appeal and popularity of every fixture being a double header featuring a women’s and men’s match back-to-back. The Hockey One League is the only national sporting competition where there is a men’s and women’s match on the same ticket.”
“7plus and the production company Rainmaker have done a fantastic job this season to further enhance the professionalism and standard of the broadcast.”
“The support and dedication 7plus have put into promoting the league has also had a significant impact.”
Furthermore, for the first time the JDH Hockey One league has been available to over 400 million households globally through various international broadcasters.
Every match of the JDH Hockey One League is LIVE and free on 7plus.
Previous rounds and replays of the JDH Hockey One League 2023 Season are available on demand on the 7plus Hockey Hub.
