Ellen Hoog Retires From Hockey

The word Legend gets banded around quite a bit when any top sports person retires.

In this case, when talking about Ellen the word legend can and should be justified.  Ellen took the International hockey world by storm winning Gold at the Champions Trophy in Rosio in 2004 aged just 17.  Since then Ellen has gone on to compete in every major championship for the Netherlands amassing an impressive 18 medals, 9 of those being GOLD.

Having helped her side win silver in the Rio Olympics, Ellen has decided now is the right time to retire from hockey and focus on her other passions, Fashion and Healthy Eating.

Ellen is one of the friendliest and most talented hockey players we have been lucky enough to meet.

All at Hockey World News wish Ellen all the best for her future career
